Alice Carr grew up in the Brahma Kumaris, a Hindu-based sect, learning about karma and virtue ethics as she grew up. Her father was an atheist, and by the time she was 27 years old, she had let go of her magical thinking and joined the Philosophical Naturalists in their science-based worldview.
Alice joined Progressive Atheists Inc. in 2011, became the secretary and then President for 3 years, ending her term in 2015. After which she took on the role of Atheist Advocate which focused mainly on assisting atheists living in Muslim majority countries.
Alice has worked in the healthcare industry and lives in Australia with her family. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Indigenous Studies and plays a central role in building secular movements in Muslim majority counties around the world.
