Kato Mukasa is an Economist and a lawyer with a sharp interest in Entrepreneurship Economics especially involved in helping young people fight poverty and unemployment. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Humanist International and Atheist Alliance International. In 2007 Kato co-founded The Humanist Association for Leadership, Equity and Accountability (HALEA). In the African continent, God takes center stage in all aspects of life and state policy in addition to traditionalism, witchcraft, and sorcery. Due to his public identity as an atheist, he became the focus of religious violence, enduring incidents such as break-in attempts, police harassment, and the arson of his car and properties.
